NEXUS 9BIT · LAST UPDATED OCTOBER 17, 2026

1. What Nexus 9bit is

Nexus 9bit is a live desktop wallpaper and screensaver. It draws pink-to-purple glyph rain behind your desktop icons, runs as a screensaver, and has a settings window (density, speed, glow, opacity and frame rate) and a tray menu, with an optional run-at-startup setting. It works offline: it has no account system, shows no ads and makes no internet connections. See the Privacy Policy for details.

It is a one-time purchase of $29.95 USD with no subscription. It is delivered as downloadable installers and packages for Windows, Linux and macOS (Beta), all version 9.2.

2. System requirements

3. Acceptable use

You may install and use Nexus 9bit on computers you own or control. The license is personal and non-exclusive. It is not a sale of the software's copyright, which stays with the seller.

4. Prohibited activities

You agree not to:

5. Payment terms

Processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. The seller does not see or store your card number. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.

Price. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay, in USD, plus any taxes that apply. Price may change for future purchases.

Delivery. After Stripe confirms your payment, you are sent to a download page with personal download links for every platform. The links stay active for 24 hours after they are first issued, and during that time you can download any or all platforms as many times as you like. Returning to the same download page does not extend the 24 hours. If your links expire or fail, contact support with your Stripe receipt and new links will be issued.

Receipt. Stripe emails a receipt for each payment. Keep it as proof of purchase.

6. Refunds

Because the product is a digital download, refunds are limited. Our terms:

7. User responsibilities

You are responsible for: checking that your computer meets the system requirements; allowing the installer to run if Windows SmartScreen or macOS Gatekeeper warns about it (the installers are not code-signed or notarized yet); keeping your receipt and download links private; and keeping your own copies of the files you downloaded.

8. Updates and availability

The seller may release updates and may change or discontinue features. No guarantee is made that the Software will work on every computer, graphics setup or operating system version.

9. Intellectual property

Nexus 9bit, its name, logo and artwork are the property of the seller. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the seller is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of data, or loss of profits. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Software. Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits.

11. Privacy

Nexus 9bit runs entirely on your computer and does not collect your data. The website and purchase process may process limited information, such as the email on your Stripe receipt, only to complete your purchase and give support. See the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Software after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

Arbitration option. Before going to court, the parties may agree to resolve a dispute through binding arbitration, started by written notice from either party. If the other party declines, or if arbitration does not resolve the dispute, either party may take it to court as described below. Courts. If the buyer and the seller are in different states, this policy and any purchase of Nexus 9bit are governed by the laws of the state where the buyer resides, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state, where federal diversity jurisdiction applies. If the buyer and the seller are in the same state, the laws of that state govern and any dispute will be brought in the courts of that state. In each case the conflict of law rules of that state are disregarded. A buyer who brings a claim in court must follow the local court rules of the jurisdiction where the case is brought and must properly serve process on the seller. Nothing in this section limits any consumer protection rights you have under the law where you live, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts.
